An unusual little Wedgwood majolica shallow dish with vibrant colours featuring blossom, bamboo and chrysanthemums on a deep cobalt blue ground and pink rim. One of several aesthetic movement designs from the 'Lincoln' range produced in the 1870s. Elements are similar to those used in the 'St. Louis' range. In great condition; no chips, cracks or restoration. To be accurate there is a small glazed over manufacturing chip to the reverse rim, barely noticed and nothing to detract. Still a rare item to find, especially in such good order. Impressed Wedgwood and date code for 1878. Diameter 15.5cm (6.1in)
