A superb Tulip Border series platter printed in medium/dark blue with a scene of Newark Castle based on an engraving from the Antiquarian and Topographical Cabinet (c1810). The picturesque landscape is framed by a wide border containing variegated tulips on a stippled ground. In excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration. A rare series to find, especially in such good order. Unmarked (to date, no marked pieces have been found). Width 38.75cm (15.25in)
