Rare Susie Cooper Pattern M68 Studio Ware Vase c1932

An early Susie Cooper studio ware pattern M68 vase painted with an abstract design in green, yellow and mauve underglaze enamel colours. A lovely waisted shape with handles which have been applied asymmetrically to emphasize the hand made qualities of the piece (see image 4). In excellent condition - no chips, cracks or restoration. Rare to find, especially in such good order. Hand painted Susie Cooper signature, dated 1932 and M.68 with shape reference S.136 in brown enamel. Height 18.5cm (7.7in)
