Rare Stevens and Williams Cased Pink Satin Glass Jug c1890

A rare example of Stevens and Williams satin glass, cased red over white, to form a lovely shaded pink jug with frosted glass handle. The final casing of crystal emphasizes the colour and air- trapped 'zig-zag' design beautifully. A classic Stevens and Williams pattern and shape with a finely crimped rim. A beautiful piece showing great glass making skill. In excellent condition. Pontil mark to base. Height 13.25cm (5.2in)
