Rare Sowerby Purple Malachite Slag Glass 'Bee' Vase c1877

A lovely double handled purple slag glass posy vase. Each side panel moulded with flying bees on a basket weave background. Number 1213 in the Sowerby pattern books. Superb 'marbling' and colours. In excellent condition. A rare item to find, especially in such good order. Diamond registration for March 1877 and Sowerby peacock trademark on the interior base. Height with handles 8.5cm (3.37in)
