A lovely green opal Sowerby aesthetic movement vase finely moulded with sprays of bell flowers. Listed in the 1882 pattern book as shape 1437. Good depth of colour and opalescence. In excellent condition; no chips, cracks or repairs. A few minor manufacturing inclusions visible under magnification, typical of 19th century pressed glass. Still a great example that displays beautifully. Sowerby peacock trademark and registration diamond for 18 Sep 1879. Width including handles 8.5cm (3.35in)
