Rare Shorter and Son 'Medina' Art Deco Breakfast Set by Mabel Leigh c1935

A lovely Shorter 'Medina' breakfast set comprising a teapot, cup and saucer/plate, milk and sugar. Designed by Mabel Leigh with incised flowers and leaves hand enamelled in green, yellow and purple on a lovely pale blue washed ground. In overall excellent condition, although there is glaze chip to the handle of the jug and some mild age related crazing. A rare set that still displays beautifully. Incised 'Medina by Mabel Leigh' and printed oval Shorter England marks. Length of teapot, handle to spout 18cm (7.1in)
