Rare Shelley Hilda Cowham Nursery Ware 'Seaside Bathing Tent' Teapot c1928 (Sold)

A superb Hilda Cowham nursery ware teapot designed for Shelley. In the shape of a bathing tent it's hand enamelled with a little girl and boy reading a children's book, their curious little dog sitting alongside.The reverse shows two more children mischievously crawling into the back of the tent. In excellent condition - no chips, cracks or restoration and little sign of wear. Hilda Cowham pieces like this are rare to find, especially in such good order. Signed 'H. Cowham' to the front, with 'Shelley, England' and registration number 726181 to the base. Height with lid 16cm (6.25in)
