Information
The 'Coral Red J' design (pattern number 11739) was one of the first produced for the Vogue/Mode shapes in 1930. Exclusively used on these shapes, I can only think that this rare soup bowl was probably a special order to match a Vogue set. A classic art deco pattern printed in black with hand enamelled silver and black leaves with stylised red flowers and a band which ends in a dropped 'J'. Both pieces in excellent condition, with a fine 'ring' to them. Printed Shelley, England marks and painted pattern numbers. Diameter of saucer 16cm (6.25in)
