A lovely little Sunderland tea bowl and saucer, probably from a child's toy service. Printed in dark blue with a milkmaid, cow and sheep in a rural hillside setting and framed by a border of flowers on a stippled ground. In excellent condition - no chips, cracks or restoration. Rare items to find, especially in such good order. Finely potted with a blue pearlware glaze. Saucer impressed SCOTT 5 (Scott's Southwick Pottery, Sunderland 1800-29). Diameter of saucer 11.5cm (4.5in), diameter of bowl 7cm (2.75in)
