A beautiful little parian jug by Samuel Alcock finely moulded with scenes of a woodland gypsy encampment on a tinted lavender ground. The detail is remarkable and condition is excellent; no chips, cracks or restoration. A rare size and colour to find, especially in such good order. Impressed 'Published by S Alcock & Co. Burslem July 1st 1842'. Height 9cm (3.5in)
