A lovely Royal Winton lustre plate hand painted with a galleon in full sail on a dramatic sea. Framed with a border of smaller galleons and billowing clouds. Overprinted and hand finished in best gold to highlight the design beautifully. In excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration and showing little sign of wear or crazing. Rare to find, especially in such good order. Grimwade's Royal Winton Ivory mark and impressed date for 1931. Width 22.5cm (8.8in)
