A fine Royal Doulton Dickens 'A' Series large oval Leeds fruit dish designed by Charles Noke. Depicting Trotty Veck from 'The Chimes'. It's in excellent condition - not even crazed. Rare to find, especially in such good order. A great example of this very collectable series. Noke signature to the front. Royal Doulton backstamp with special Dickensware mark, impressed date for 1936 and painted series number D2973. Width 27.4cm (10.75in)
