An early Royal Doulton Dickens Ware 'A' Series small rack plate designed by Charles Noke. Depicts the rare Serjeant Buzfuz from 'Pickwick Papers'. In excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration. Some mild age related crazing typical of these wares, but nothing serious to detract. A fine example of this very collectable first series introduced in 1908. Royal Doulton backstamp with special Dickens Ware mark, painted pattern number D3020 and date impressed October 1912.
