A lovely Royal Doulton Dickens Ware 'A' Series Corinth shaped teapot depicting Mr Micawber from 'David Copperfield'. Designed by Charles Noke. In good antique condition; no chips, cracks or restoration, with only the usual age related crazing associated with these wares - still a good example of this very collectable series and a rare shape to find in such good order. Indistinct Noke signature. Royal Doulton special Dickensware mark and 1st series painted pattern number D2973. Early version of the Corinth shape with different spout and lid.
