A lovely New Empire shape teapot showing a gaffer with a basket standing at a garden gate. Printed 'Gaffers' on the lid and signed Noke on the reverse. Nicely painted and in excellent condition. No chips, cracks or restoration. Some fine glaze crazing typical of these wares, but nothing to detract. A stunning item, rare to find especially in such good order. Special Royal Doulton Gaffers mark with D4210. Length spout to handle 20cm (7.95in)
