A superb two handled loving cup showing a gaffer with a basket standing at a garden gate. Printed 'I be all the way from Zummerset' on the inside rim. Nicely painted and in excellent condition. No chips, cracks or restoration. Fine glaze crazing typical of these wares, but nothing to detract. A stunning display item, rare to find especially in such good order. Signed Noke near handle (see image 4). Special Royal Doulton Gaffers mark and painted D4210. Height 11cm (4.3in), width with handles 16.5cm (6.5in)
