Information
A rare series first introduced by Royal Doulton in 1911. When Howard Carter discovered Tutankhamen's tomb in 1922 the words 'Tutankhamen's Treasures Luxor' were added to the designs. The series was withdrawn by 1929. This unusual Pelican shape candlestick has three Egyptian figures printed in black with borders of stylised papyrus reeds. In excellent condition, with fine natural crazing typical of these wares. Printed Royal Doulton mark. Height 16.5cm (6.5in)
