Rare Royal Doulton 'Bluebell Gatherers' Large Bowl D3812 c1915

A superb Royal Doulton large bowl from the rare 'Bluebell Gatherers' series introduced in 1914 and withdrawn by 1928. One of twelve known scenes depicting a woman with a small child in her arms collecting bluebells in a woodland glade. The borders on the inside and outside rims have flocks of birds in trees. In excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration. Clean age related crazing, but nothing to detract from the display value of this charming and rare item. Royal Doulton backstamp with painted series reference D3812. Diameter 21cm (8.25in)
