Rare Royal Doulton Art Nouveau 'Lilies' Series Ware Rack Plate D3434 c1915

A rare Royal Doulton art nouveau 'Lilies' series rack plate. A good example of the block printing technique favoured by Doulton for their floral series wares. Lovely shades of yellow, sepia and green add to this classic art nouveau design. In excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration. Some long strand crazing, typical of this type of ware and nothing to detract. All in all a fine piece that displays beautifully. Introduced in 1911 and withdrawn by 1920, it's a rare design to find these days. Printed Royal Doulton mark with pattern number D3434. Diameter 26.5cm (10.4in)
