A superb 'Old Imari' Empire shape cup and saucer decorated in iron red, cobalt blue and 22 carat gold. The intricate cup handle is pierced to look like a dolphin. Both pieces in excellent condition - no chips, cracks or restoration and no sign of wear. Fine quality and a rare shape to find, especially in such good order. Royal Crown Derby marks with year codes for 1914/15. Height of cup at handle 8cm (3.1in), diameter of saucer 12cm (4.75in)
