It's always been difficult to find pairs of vases. Here is a superb pair of Winton lustre vases decorated with a spray of poppies and other flowers, similar to Summer Bouquet and other floral designs. The flowers in red, yellow and mauve are set against light and dark green leaves with a stippled ground of electric blue lustre. The neck and handles are a deep navy and inside the rim is a contrasting orange lustre. An elegant art deco shape completes the stunning effect of these rare and beautiful vases. In excellent condition (one vase is missing most of the gilt line around the rim - barely noticeable in the overall effect); no chips, cracks or restoration. Painted pattern number 4141 in gold. Height 19cm (7.5in)
