An early Minton 'Amherst Japan' stone china jug in the Florentine shape. Richly decorated in typical 'imari' colours and trimmed with orange lustre, it is in excellent condition. No chips, cracks or signs of wear. A lovely example. Printed underglaze blue cartouche mark with 'Amherst Japan, Stone China' and impressed 'BB' (Best Body). Height 10cm (3.9in)
