Rare Maling Rose Pink Lustre 'Crocus' Round Fruit Basket c1936

A lovely round fruit basket in 'Crocus' on a rose pink waved lustre background. A striking design introduced by Maling in 1936, hand painted with blue, pink, mauve and yellow crocus. In excellent condition; no chips, cracks, or restoration. Some minor wear to the gilding and mild crazing, usual with these pieces and nothing to detract. Still a rare shape to find, especially in such good order. Printed Maling mark and painted pattern number. Diameter 17.75cm (7in)
