A superb Maling purple lustre 'beehive' inkwell hand painted with pink sprigs of may blossom on a band of green lustre. The original liner containing the ink still has its cork in place, which suggests it's hardly been used. In excellent condition - no chips, cracks or restoration. A rare item to find, especially complete and in such good order. Printed Maling mark and painted number 5783. Diameter of base 14cm (5.5in)
