A lovely Maling 'Jumbo' cup and saucer, thought to be promotional ware to accompany the very rare Jumbo teapot. A stylish black print of a huntsman with his horse jumping over a fence (on both sides of the cup), the detail hand painted in coloured enamels. The border consists of a small black zig-zag effect to complete the art deco look. In great condition with only some age related clean crazing, more apparent to the reverse of both items. Nothing serious and nothing to detract from the display value of this rare item. Holds about 1.25 pints. Printed Maling marks and painted numbers 5141; saucer also impressed 3.38 for March 1938.
