A lovely Holdcroft majolica fish plate, finely modelled with bright colours on a cobalt blue ground. In great condition - no chips, cracks or restoration. A couple of light wear patches to the blue glaze just above the fish (probably from stacking), but nothing to detract from the display value of this rare item. The reverse with a fine mottled glaze. Impressed J HOLDCROFT. Diameter 21.5cm (8.5in)
