Rare John Davenport 'Fisherman' Series Pouring Dish c1815

An unusual serving dish with 'spout' by John Davenport printed in medium blue with one of the 'Fisherman' series scenes. An interesting rural series where the central figures and ruins differ, but they are all framed by the same setting of rocks and trees.The border of oval medallions and chevrons is quite distinctive. In excellent condition - no chips, cracks or restoration. Rare to find, especially in such good order. Lovely blue rippled glaze. Impressed 'Davenport' above an anchor. Length 24.2cm (9.5in)
