A beautiful arcaded plate by John Davenport printed in medium blue with one of the 'Fisherman' series scenes. The delicately pierced rim is in excellent condition (they are nearly always damaged) and this fine example also has the characteristic basket weave border and painted blue trim. Very rare to find in such good order. Lovely bluish rippled glaze with fine micro-crazing. Impressed 'Davenport' above an anchor. Diameter 23cm (9in)
