Rare Holdcroft Majolica Tea Kettle c1870 (Sold)

A fantastic Whieldon style tortoise shell glazed majolica tea kettle on three lion's paw feet. Bright colours and In good antique condition - no major damage or restoration, with only a couple of glaze frits under the feet (see image 5), not seen unless examined closely and nothing to detract from this rare survivor. An unusual piece that displays beautifully. Unmarked but probably Holdcroft. Overall height 19.5cm (7.7in)
