Information
An early toast rack printed in medium blue with roses in the well and castles on the pierced dividers. There is a narrow border and trim of stylised flowers and diamonds. A rare item in good antique condition; there is some minor glaze wear to the high points and a chip to one handle and another underneath on the foot rim (see images). Still a beautiful example of Gothic Revival design with signs of age but no major damage. Workman's mark in underglaze blue. Shape and pattern attributed to Hackwood and Co. (1807-1827). Length 17.75cm (7in)
