A superb 1930's Ajax shape teapot with patented sliding lid. In excellent condition; no chips, cracks, or restoration. Shows little sign of wear or use - a real gem, rare to find in such good order. Blue circular art deco 'Royal Winton, Grimwades' mark with "Sweet Pea", painted pattern number in gold and impressed AJAX - lid with patent number. Overall length handle to spout 21.6cm (8.5in)
