Rare Grimwades Royal Winton 'Chanticleer' Rooster Teapot c1940

A striking and original 1940's art deco period teapot in the very collectable Grimwades 'Chanticleer' or 'Rooster' design. A rare pastel colour variation with a lovely vibrantly painted cockerel; in excellent condition, no cracks or restoration. To be accurate there is a tiny pin prick chip on the inside of the lid, barely noticeable, and some light crazing typical of hand painted wares. Still a superb item which displays beautifully.
