An unusual geometric design beaker, probably by Sam Talbot though reminiscent of earlier 'cubist' designs by Susie Cooper. Boldly painted overlapping squares in sienna and grey on a matt white ground, with matching bands and lines. Hand painted 'Mae' signature. In excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration. Gray's Stoke on Trent Clipper mark and painted pattern A2981. Height 9cm (3.5in)
