A lovely Royal Doulton Dickens Ware 'A' Series Friar teapot designed by Charles Noke and featuring Mr Pickwick from 'Pickwick Papers'. In excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration - some mild crazing and some manufacturing glaze runs around the spout typical of these wares, but showing little sign of wear or use. A great example of this very collectable series and rare to find an early teapot in such good order. Royal Doulton special Dickens Ware mark and painted pattern number D2973.
