Information
Often later continental bone china cruets can be found, but early English or Welsh pottery mustards are rare. This early mustard pot is a fine example, boldly painted in iron red, cobalt blue and green with touches of purple lustre. In good antique condition - the only faults being a tiny chip and an unglazed patch under the lid (from manufacture), which also has some age related staining (see image 5). I feel it just lends this fine old pot more character and it displays beautifully. The spoon is probably a little later, but it's the correct size and works well. Height with lid 7.75cm (3in)
