A very rare and beautiful little Don Pottery Named Italian View tart dish printed in medium blue with the Ancient Cistern near Catania in Sicily. Framed by a distinctive border of flowers on a stippled ground with leaves and two prominent putti holding garlands. In excellent condition - no chips, cracks or restoration and showing little sign of wear. Lovely blue rippled glaze and no foot rim. Unmarked. Diameter 16cm (6.3in)
