Rare Davenport Stone China 'Two Temples' Willow Pattern Butter Dish c1830

A superb covered butter dish and stand shaped as a butter barrel with two lugs into which the lid sits. Printed in medium to dark blue with the Two Temples chinoiserie pattern, the inner borders with distinctive gilt beading and rims also finished in gold. In excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration and showing little sign of wear. Rare to find complete and in such good order. Each piece (including cover) printed in blue with the early Davenport Stone China mark and the dish with painted pattern number 142 in red (the highest recorded number in the stone china pattern book c1830 when stone china production ceased).
