A lovely Crown Ducal 'Blue Chintz' rose bowl with pierced inset lid. Exotic birds and a profusion of blossom boughs on a dramatic blue background. The rich and vibrant colours of this old Richardson's pattern look great on this unusual shape. In excellent condition; no cracks or restoration. One point to mention is a slight chip under the inset rim (see image 4), which doesn't show on display. Still a beautiful item and quite a rarity. Crown Ducal backstamp. Height 17.5cm (6.9in)
