Rare Copeland Porcelain 'Summer' Cherub Comport c1860

A beautifully modelled and hand painted Copeland comport. A cherub representing summer sits on a rock supporting a finely decorated dish which is held in place with the original metal bolt. The tricorn base is titled Summer and painted with sprays of leaves and berries and finished with lovely turquoise jewelling. In excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration and showing little sign of wear. Rare to find decorative pieces of this age in such good order. Impressed Copeland. Height 21cm (8.25in)
