A lovely small size (42) Perth shape jug, beautifully painted in the rare red colourway of 'Trees and House', an early Fantasque landscape of 1929. In excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration. Boldly and thickly painted, it's a fine example showing little sign of wear. A very striking design on an old Newport shape. Lithograph 'Fantasque by Clarice Cliff' mark. Height 9cm (3.5in)
