Rare Clarice Cliff Bizarre 'Tulips' Bonjour Preserve Pot c1934 (Sold)

A lovely Bizarre 'Tulips' pattern preserve pot in the highly sought after Bonjour shape, introduced by Clarice Cliff in 1933. The 'Tulips' pattern, featuring a garden scene with stylised tree and tulips, was produced briefly in 1934, so a rare combination of shape and design. In good condition, the front 'face' is perfect. There are some minor scratches to the reverse and one side (see images 3 and 4); other than that and some minor staining to the interior due to age and usage (mentioned for accuracy), there are no chips, cracks or restoration. A good honest piece which displays beautifully. Marked 'Bizarre by Clarice Cliff'. Height including lid 10.1cm (4in)
