Rare Charlotte Rhead H J Wood Bursley Ware 'Blue Peony' Candlesticks c1945 - Pattern TL43

A lovely pair of Charlotte Rhead candlesticks beautifully tube-lined by Emmie Morris with wind-tossed peony flowers and spiky leaves enamelled in blue, violet and black on a mottled grey ground. In excellent condition - no chips, cracks or restoration. Rare to find this shape candlestick, especially in such good order. Printed H. J. Wood 'Bursley Ware, Charlotte Rhead' signature marks with tube-liner Emmie Morris's mark ('X') and pattern reference TL43. Height 10.5cm (4.1in)
