A lovely Burleigh Ware teapot by Burgess and Leigh in the colourful 'Japonica' pattern which uses the old technique of underglaze printing with lots of detail hand painted in enamel colours and gilt. In great condition; no chips, cracks or restoration. Some glaze crazing and signs of use to the inside, which doesn't go through or detract. A good size which displays beautifully. Printed Burgess and Leigh monogram with Burleigh Ware mark. Overall length 20.2cm (8in)
