A superb plate printed in medium to dark blue with the 'Fisherman's Hut' pattern. Probably made for the American export market it depicts a harbour scene with a fisherman carrying oars and a net, a woman and child kneeling beside a basket of fish and a dog running towards them. On the right is the bow of a sailing ship with prominent masts and in the background is a large country house. Beautifully framed by a wide floral border which is incorporated into the scene. In excellent condition - no chips, cracks or restoration and showing little sign of wear. Rare to find in such good order. Double foot rim and fine rippled glaze. Unmarked. Diameter 25.5cm (10in)
