Information
Unmarked though attributed to the Staffordshire firm of Adams and Bromley (1873-1886), this superb majolica 'pineapple' round bread plate is crisply modelled with bright yellow and green glazes and a lovely deep cobalt blue centre. The reverse has a fine mottled 'tortoiseshell' finish. In excellent condition throughout; no chips, cracks or restoration, the centre showing little sign of wear (one stilt mark showing on the edge of the central panel where the cobalt begins). it displays exceptionally well. Always a very collectable design, it's very rare to find this round shape, especially in such good order. Diameter 27.5cm (10.8in)
