A finely printed Prattware plate with a lovely malachite border. Depicts a scene engraved by Jesse Austin after the painting The Truant by T. Webster. Good colours and in excellent condition - no chips, cracks or restoration. Some mild age related crazing noticeable on the reverse typical of these wares, but nothing to detract from the display value of this superb item. Signed T Webster 1834 (date of original painting) to the front and printed THE TRUANT by T Webster on the reverse. Diameter 24cm (9.5in)
