Poole Pottery 'Leo the Lion' V Pattern Jug c1935

A fine Poole Pottery 604 shape jug decorated in the V or 'Leo the Lion' pattern designed by Truda (Adams) Carter and beautifully painted by Phyllis Ryall who worked at Poole from 1928 to 1937. In excellent condition - no chips, cracks or restoration. Pink slip base impressed POOLE ENGLAND, incised shape 604, painted pattern reference V and decorator's mark for Phyllis Ryall.
