A lovely chinoiserie plate printed in medium blue with a central flower pot and two figures in a garden landscape and a distinctive floral border inset with delightful oriental vignettes. The name Chinese Flowering Pot was given to the pattern many years ago, although it is also known as Gardener or Gardener Variation or Variant. In excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration and showing little sign of wear. Unmarked with a fine blue rippled glaze, triple stilt marks and double foot rim. Diameter 25.25cm (9.95in)
