Pair of Staffordshire Pottery Standing Greyhounds with Hares c1880

An excellent pair of Victorian Staffordshire greyhounds standing on leafy bases with hares at their feet. Decorated in the round with fine detail and good colours - unusually with mouths open. In great condition; no chips, cracks or restoration. Only point to mention is a small 'touch' of extra clay to the chest of the right hand dog which would have happened during firing and is part of the character of old Staffordshire pieces. Height 18cm (7.1in)
